Danielle has been working with young people and families for over 15 years. With a Master’s in Counselling and Bachelor’s degree in Behavioural Science, Danielle runs her own private practice ‘A Grounded Nature’ and specialises in EMDR therapy.
Danielle is passionate about providing opportunities for individuals and communities to break the cycle of intergenerational pain and trauma. Danielle supports the people she works with to lead an authentic life, have healthy connections and support healing. As a trained Wilderness Lead Guide, Danielle also combines her therapeutic work with the outdoors; developing and facilitating bush adventure therapy programs.
Danielle also has a background as a senior professional in service delivery and program design. Danielle is committed to developing strategy, and delivering projects that focus on building stronger communities and families. Danielle has vast experience working across the out-of-home care sector and residential care settings. Danielle has engaged young people in remote bush adventure therapy programs, drug rehabilitation programs, and life skill programs. Danielle has led systemic advocacy projects to empower and engage young people with a lived experience in out-of-home care to support them with skills and knowledge to enable them to be at the centre of decision making throughout their journey in care.
