Daniel Barakate, holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Work, Graduate Diploma of Social Inquiry, Masters of Policy Studies and an Executive Masters of Public Administration. Daniel has a passion for service commissioning, program design and project, program and change management and for facilitating meaningful change that empowers and improves outcomes for, and the lives of children, young people, families, and communities. Daniel is currently the Acting Executive Director, Strategy and Implementation Unit at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice where he leads a talented team leading operational improvement strategies, and building operational systems to improve outcomes for kids. One of the teams in the Strategy and Implementation Unit in particular is leading the recruitment of Emergency Foster Carers within the Department.
