Married with a blended family, five children and an open door for children and young people in care - my purpose in life is to help others. My family have been fostering children and young people for over 15 years and had the pleasure of walking down the adoption path with our daughter. I started my career in the Australian Border Force where I continue to work as a Border Force Officer. More than ten years ago I moved into the Community Services sector, firstly volunteering for Connecting Carers and then working in out-of-home care, residential, as a case worker, Intake Specialist, Coordinator for the Aunties and Uncles program, then in recruitment and assessment. I completed a Diploma in Community Services, in 2016 and am accredited to deliver Shared Lives, Step by Step, Winangay assessment and the Sanctuary Model. I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Community Services.
