Dr Susan Collings is Senior Research Fellow at the Research Centre for Children and Families, the University of Sydney, where she is Program Lead in Disability and Child Protection and a research affiliate at the Centre for Disability Research and Policy. Susan aims to build evidence that increases understanding of and support for families who experience vulnerability. She uses co-design, inclusive and arts-based methods so that research is driven by expertise based on lived experience and practice wisdom. Her special interest areas are parenting with disability, NDIS planning and service integration, and birth family contact. She is internationally recognised for her research on parents with intellectual disability and their children and is reflected in highly cited publications and grant income.
