Daniel Barakate, holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Work, Graduate Diploma of Social Inquiry, Masters of Policy Studies and an Executive Masters of Public Administration. Daniel has a passion for program design and project, program and change management and for facilitating meaningful change that empowers and improves outcomes for, and the lives of, vulnerable children, young people, families and communities. Daniel is currently the Director, Child and Family, Design and Stewardship at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice where he leads a talented team of policy, implementation, commissioning, design and stewardship specialists designing and implementing evidence-informed program and policy initiatives across child protection and out-of-home care. Daniel have a love for technology, B-grade horror, hiking and science fiction.
