Kelly Walker began her career with the then Department of Community Services in 2008. Kelly has worked in various roles including frontline casework; out-of-home care adoption; and strategy, policy and commissioning.
During her career Kelly has developed a deep passion for permanency as well as an understanding of the importance for ongoing connections between children and people important to them.
Kelly is the Manager for Permanency Support Program (PSP) Implementation and has played a critical role over the last 4 ½ years in implementing a system wide reform to improve wellbeing outcomes for children and young people. Kelly leads the NSW Premiers Priority for Permanency within DCJ and currently delivers policy and program management across OOHC and PSP. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Social Science and is currently completing her Master’s in Business Administration.
