Claire entered the Department of Children, Youth and Families in Tasmania 16 years ago and has served in operational, policy, clinical support and executive leadership positions. During this time she has undertaken critical work in the front line Child Safety Service; has provided leadership and professional supervision to frontline Child Safety staff; has promoted high standards of ethical and professional practice through consultation, critical reflection and mentorship within her clinical support and leadership roles; and has provided high level contemporary policy advice on matters relating to program strategy, planning, design and implementation of major reforms within the child and family sector.
She is currently the Director of Children and Families where she is responsible for the leadership and direction of the State’s Child Safety Service, State-wide Advice and Referral and Adoption and Permanency Services ensuring effective, equitable and safe direct service delivery for children, young people and families in Tasmania.
