Dr Meegan Crawford is the newly appointed Chief Practitioner for the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women, Queensland. The Chief Practitioner role has recently been created to focus on the legal, relational and physical permanency of children in contact with the child protection system. The Chief Practitioner role will lead practice reform, through innovation and enhancement of child protection practice, and a focus on staff capability and cultural humility, to improve the safety and outcomes of children, young people, parents, and families.
